This is my first posting on this blog and hopefully not my last. Not sure what I will be saying here. The title may give some indication. I am a Doc and I love Prog. Not necessarily related though! I have written some reviews for Amazon.co.uk which can be found here:

Hi John,
Glad you liked the review enough to purchase. If you like Swedish prog of the Anekdoten, Anglagard, White Willow kind with lots of mellotron, synths and other types of antique analogue keyboards. Great stuff!!Another new band from similar climes are Liquid Scarlet. They are pretty good too. I think they have a new album due out soon.
Hi John,
Yes, Morte Macabre is an impressive CD. That title track I think is incredible. The interplay between the guitarists is wonderful. Reine Fiske is a brilliant guitarist. I never felt Landberk themselves lived up to their potential, though the first Paatos album which he and Stefan Dimle appear is pretty good. Fiske was sorely missed on their second. White Willow are interesting. I think they are good, but sometimes find them a bit too folky, pretty and wistful. Though their last, Storm Season was much harder edged and I think their best. I was thinking about Carptree too, but not familiar with A.C.T. so will have to check that out. I was listening to another great Swedish artist yesterday, Par Lindh. His albums are pretty good, very classical and ELP-ish. I also admire Roine Stolt’s work. I love The Tangent by the way, excellent stuff.
Barrie.
